With ABSINTHE, Ramona Horvath turns iconic songs from the 1970s and ’80s into a vibrant new jazz repertoire. Joined by Nicolas Rageau on double bass and Antoine Paganotti on drums, she brings her distinctive blend of virtuosity, swing, lyrical sensitivity and irresistible groove to music by Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, the Bee Gees and others.

Rather than simply rearranging familiar hits, the trio reimagines them as if they had always been jazz standards — opening them up to sophisticated harmonies, rhythmic freedom and spontaneous improvisation. The result is a playful and elegant meeting point between jazz, soul, pop, funk and disco, driven by a powerful sense of swing and a highly personal sound.
