IMPRESSIONS de VOYAGE en JAZZ
A duo project with double bassist Nicolas Rageau, inspired by George Enescu’s Impressions d’enfance.
The project explores the fascinating dialogue between jazz and musical Impressionism, tracing how jazz musicians have drawn inspiration from Impressionist composers, and how the language of jazz has, in turn, resonated with classical music.
This musical journey laid the foundation for CARMEN's KARMA, which further developed and expanded the dialogue between jazz and the classical repertoire.
TRAVERSER la SEINE / SCENE
Is a musical journey across time and borders, bringing French and Romanian songs from the interwar period into dialogue and revealing hidden gems from both cultures.
Performed as a piano-guitar-double bass trio with Jean-Philippe Bordier and Nicolas Rageau, the project is accompanied by video projections featuring archival images of Paris and Bucharest between the two World Wars.
